At New Seasons Therapy, we provide EMDR Therapy, Trauma Recovery, and support for anxiety and depression.

We understand how busy life can be, and we want therapy to fit into your schedule—not add more stress to it. While we do not offer weekend appointments, we are open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., which allows for both daytime and evening sessions.

Many clients appreciate daytime appointments as a way to step away, reset, and focus on their mental health without having to squeeze it in at the end of an already busy day. Others prefer evening sessions after work or school.

We also offer recurring weekly appointments, which means you can count on having the same day and time each week—making it easier to build therapy into your routine in a predictable, stress-free way.

If you have scheduling questions, we’re happy to help find a time that works for you.

You can schedule an appointment easily by contacting us through our website or calling our office.

Payment of $165 for individual therapy or $185 for couples/family therapy is due at the time of service. We do take certain Aetna and Optum/United plans (see “Do You Accept Insurance” drop down below). You may pay with any major debit/credit card, FSA/HSA card, checks, or bishop/clergy pay. We also have limited sliding scale pay spots. You will pay through our billing provider, Alma.

If you’re doing intensive therapy with us, that price will vary based on what’s the best treatment plan for you. The same answer above applies to therapy intensives.

Check with this link to see if you have out-of-network benefits with your insurance and could get reimbursed from them for a portion of the session cost (Note that you will have to pay the session cost upfront and either submit your “Superbills” to your insurance company directly or use a platform like Mentaya to help get you reimbursed. See more about this concept in the next dropdown about insurance).

Absolutely! All therapy sessions are confidential to ensure your privacy and comfort.

Yes, we accept various insurance plans as well as self-pay and out-of-network benefits to help make therapy accessible for you. The plans we take are Aetna plans (Meritain, Nippon, Allied Benefit Systems, Trustmark, Trustmark Small Business Benefits, Health Scope, Christian Brothers Services) and Optum/UnitedHealthcare plans (UnitedHealthcare Shared Services (UHSS), UnitedHealthcare Global, UnitedHealthcare Exchange Plans (ONEX), Optum, Oscar, Oxford, UHC Student Resources, UMR, All Savers (UHC), Health Plans Inc, Surest (Formerly Bind))

Of those plans, please note that we do NOT take Aetna CVS, GEHA-Aetna, Boon Chapman, AmeriBen, First Health, Piedmont/S&S Healthcare, Health Smart, Emi Health, WebTPA, Aetna Medicare and Medicaid)

We’re also here to assist you in navigating the reimbursement process if you have out-of-network benefits. This means you’ll pay for your session upfront, and afterward, we’ll provide you with a Superbill—a detailed invoice that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. It’s essential to check with your insurance company to confirm whether they offer reimbursement and whether you have an out-of-network deductible to meet before they begin covering your costs. If you do have that benefit, you’ll be sent the reimbursement amount through check or whatever process that company has.

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It’s a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from trauma, anxiety, negative beliefs, and painful memories that can get “stuck” in the mind and body.

When something overwhelming or distressing happens—like abuse, betrayal, an accident, or a painful loss—our brain doesn’t always process the experience the way it normally would. Instead, the memory can get “frozen” in a way that keeps triggering uncomfortable emotions, physical reactions, or negative thoughts (like “I’m not safe” or “I’m not good enough”), even years later.

EMDR helps unstick those memories by using bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, tapping, or sound) while you process the event in a safe, guided way. This allows the brain to reprocess the experience, so it feels less distressing, less triggering, and more in the past—not something that keeps controlling your present life.

Many people find that EMDR helps with:
• Trauma and PTSD
• Anxiety and panic
• Grief and loss
• Negative self-beliefs
• Relationship wounds
• Phobias or intense fears

You don’t have to “talk through every detail” for EMDR to work, which can make it feel gentler and less overwhelming for many people. The goal is to help you feel calmer, stronger, and more free from the weight of past experiences.

We kindly ask that you cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before your session time. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to the full session fee. This policy allows us to offer the time slot to someone else who may be waiting for an appointment.

To cancel, you can call or text us at 801-810-9774.

We truly value your time and make every effort to be respectful of it, and we ask the same in return. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep things running smoothly for all our clients.

We are located in Draper, Utah at 12401 S 450 E Suite B2 Draper, UT 84020. The office we have inside that suite is on the second floor, in room 206. We are right off the freeway for easy access to residents in Salt Lake Valley and Utah Valley.

We also offer online counseling to residents all across Utah as well.

Yes—online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many people and many types of concerns. Research shows that virtual sessions (also called teletherapy) work well for issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, and more.

What matters most is the quality of the therapeutic relationship—feeling safe, understood, and supported by your therapist—whether you’re meeting face-to-face or through a screen.

Online therapy can actually offer some unique benefits:
• Comfort of your own space (no commute or waiting rooms)
• Flexibility with scheduling (great for busy lives or those with limited transportation)
• Increased access to care (especially for people in rural areas or with health concerns)

That said, some people prefer the energy of being in-person, and that’s completely valid too. It’s really about what feels right for you and your comfort level.

If you’re not sure which is the best fit, we’re happy to talk through it with you and help you decide.

The length of therapy is different for everyone because it really depends on your unique goals, needs, and life circumstances. Some people come to therapy for a short period to work through a specific issue, while others find that ongoing support helps them manage deeper challenges or navigate life transitions.

At New Seasons Therapy, we believe that you are the expert on your own life—so we’ll work together to figure out what feels right for you. Some clients find relief after just a few sessions, while others may choose to continue for several months or longer to dive deeper into healing, growth, and lasting change.

We’ll regularly check in along the way to make sure therapy is still meeting your needs and helping you move toward the life you want.
